Cizzorz returns after 5-year hiatus with new Fortnite Deathrun featuring 20 challenging levels

The Legendary Return

After an extensive 1824-day break from Deathrun creation, FaZe Clan’s renowned Fortnite map designer Cizzorz has officially announced his comeback to the creative scene.

The five-year hiatus represents a significant period in Fortnite’s evolution, during which Cizzorz shifted his creative focus to content beyond the battle royale landscape while the community continued advancing Deathrun design techniques.

Deathrun Evolution

When Epic Games introduced Creative Islands functionality in 2018, the Fortnite community rapidly embraced the opportunity to construct parkour challenges, mini-games, and obstacle courses. Over subsequent years, this creative ecosystem has enabled diverse competitive formats including dual battles, building competitions, and increasingly sophisticated Deathrun experiences.

Deathrun maps deliver precisely what their name implies – intensive obstacle courses designed with lethal traps and hazards that challenge players’ platforming skills. While Deathruns existed before Cizzorz entered the scene, his innovative designs and challenging layouts established him as a community benchmark for quality and creativity.

Despite achieving significant recognition within the Fortnite creative community, Cizzorz discontinued Deathrun development around early 2020, redirecting his efforts toward varied content creation projects before recently hinting at his mapping comeback.

New Map Features

“To the Fortnite Map Creators and community members: I deeply value the support, constructive criticism, and guidance regarding my first map release in half a decade!! My new Deathrun creation may not match the sophistication I’ve witnessed from other creators during my absence…. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the development process and sincerely hope players find it entertaining,” Cizzorz commented via Twitter/X preceding the official unveiling.

Cizzorz’s upcoming Fortnite Deathrun launches on April 27, marking his inaugural map release in 1824 days, as demonstrated in the preview footage. The teaser provides glimpses of anticipated gameplay elements featuring spike-lined walls, fiery chasms, and multi-tiered parkour sequences that will test players’ reflexes and precision.

The creator has disclosed that his newest Deathrun installment comprises 20 demanding levels, guiding participants through diverse settings including extraterrestrial landscapes. Players can locate this Deathrun experience using Fortnite’s Creative Island search feature by entering the designated code upon availability.

Playing the Deathrun

For optimal Deathrun performance, seasoned players recommend adjusting controller sensitivity settings to enhance precision platforming. Many experienced Deathrun enthusiasts suggest practicing basic parkour mechanics in Creative mode before attempting Cizzorz’s challenging course.

Common beginner mistakes include rushing through sections without observing trap patterns and underestimating jump timing requirements. Advanced players emphasize studying each obstacle carefully before attempting progression, as many traps feature predictable cycles that can be mastered through observation.
