Doran and Chovy to join DragonX after Griffin controversy

DragonX has strategically acquired two prominent former Griffin athletes, top lane specialist Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon and mid lane prodigy Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon, significantly strengthening their competitive lineup. The organization simultaneously confirmed that development squad members Ryu “Keria” Min-seok and Hong “Pyosik” Chang-hyeon have earned spots on the primary competition team for the upcoming 2020 competitive cycle.

According to Fomos reporting on December 4, Doran and Chovy now officially represent DragonX in the 2020 League of Legends Champions Korea tournament. With Keria assuming the support position and Pyosik taking jungle responsibilities, the team’s starting five is now finalized. These four newcomers will collaborate with established bot lane veteran Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu, who has maintained his roster position since the latter part of 2018.

Characterizing Griffin’s 2019 competitive season as merely unfortunate fails to capture the severity of their organizational challenges. While achieving notable competitive success, significant internal conflicts emerged that revealed players were subject to inequitable and potentially exploitative contractual arrangements. Whether Kim “cvMax” Dae-ho will resume coaching duties remains undetermined, despite his previous successful collaboration with Doran and Chovy during the prior competitive year. Riot Games maintains an active inquiry following allegations of abusive behavior during cvMax’s tenure with Griffin.
