Envy bench ANDROID, leaving three active players on the roster

Team Envy executed another significant roster adjustment in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, removing Bradley “ANDROID” Fodor from their competitive lineup. This decision represents the latest in a series of strategic personnel moves.

Operating previously as Team EnVyUs, the organization confirmed ANDROID’s benching through official social media channels. The 25-year-old rifler now becomes available for transfer negotiations, while Envy’s active player count dwindles to just three competitors:

• Ryan “ryann” Welsh

The ANDROID removal follows closely after Envy transferred emerging talent Sam “s0m” Oh to Gen.G’s new CSGO division in early December. Shortly following that transaction, the organization severed ties with both their CSGO management representative Taylor B. and head coach Zachary Stauffer. These organizational changes occurred immediately after the squad’s disappointing elimination by Just for Fun during initial IEM Katowice 2020 qualification rounds.

Within two hours of publicizing Stauffer’s departure, Envy published an open application seeking candidates for both managerial and coaching positions. Remaining player Noah “Nifty” Francis shared the opportunity through his social media, indicating support for the franchise’s directional changes.

“Organizational culture establishes habitual patterns, those patterns drive behavioral outcomes, and behaviors ultimately determine competitive results. We’re seeking individuals committed to transformative change,” Nifty stated regarding the organizational restructuring.

Envy trails in CSGO as focus on Overwatch, Call of Duty increase

While competing organizations aggressively recruit talent for upcoming CSGO competitive circuits like BLAST Premier and the speculated owner-operated “B Site” league, Envy’s public communications emphasize different priorities despite their coaching search. Although recent announcements suggest potential roster reconstruction, the franchise lags considerably behind rival teams in assembling a championship-caliber CSGO lineup in today’s demanding competitive environment.

Furthermore, Envy’s primary public relations focus has centered on their Overwatch League franchise Dallas Fuel and the forthcoming Call of Duty League operation Dallas Empire. The organization pioneered the Overwatch League’s inaugural homestand event in April 2019, receiving positive reception and demonstrating the viability of city-based franchised models within esports ecosystems.

Previously recognized as a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive elite organization, Envy maintained top-ten global rankings throughout their formative competitive years. During February 2017, the franchise transferred star players Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt, Kenny “kennyS” Schrub, and Dan “apEX” Madesclaire to G2 Esports yet continued fielding competitive CSGO rosters featuring Vincent “Happy” Schopenhauer and Cédric “RpK” Guipouy.

However, the team experienced dramatic ranking decline following their transition to North American rosters. Envy reached their competitive nadir at 176th global position during October 2018 and subsequently evolved into a transitional platform for North American talents striving to advance through the region’s professional Counter-Strike hierarchy.

While Envy regularly achieves success in minor tournaments and open qualifiers, they haven’t secured premier championship victory since DreamHack Open Atlanta 2017. As Dallas Fuel and Dallas Empire experience developmental growth phases, Envy’s CSGO competitive presence continues diminishing.
