How do you feel about the loss?

The defeat didn’t create significant concern since we immediately recognized our errors. Early-game execution issues and critical decision-making mistakes became apparent quickly, giving us clear focus areas for playoff preparation.

What were the big mistakes you noticed?

Our primary issues involved hesitation in crucial moments and insufficient attention to team composition strengths. Svenskeren delivered an exceptional performance with unpredictable pathing that disrupted our game plan. Cloud9 consistently demonstrates superior 2v2 lane coordination, an area where we need improved strategic emphasis.

When you saw Sneaky was back on the starting roster, what were your thoughts? Did you think this was good or bad for you?

We anticipated Sneaky’s return following Cloud9’s previous day performance. The roster change likely wouldn’t have altered the match outcome given their overall team coordination and strategic execution.

Team Liquid has yet to take a game from Cloud9 this split. Why do you think that is?

Cloud9’s cohesive team play creates consistent challenges. Their mid-jungle partnership demonstrates exceptional synergy, complemented by strong 2v2 champion selections. Recent matches featured unexpected mid-lane picks that challenged our preparation and adaptation capabilities.

Outside of playing Cloud9, what has made you guys so dominant this split?

Our core roster combines exceptional individual skill with strategic depth. Every player possesses carry potential, creating resilience when individual performances fluctuate. This distributed threat capability represents our core competitive advantage.

You’ve been on Team Liquid for a while now. What improvements have you seen throughout your time with the team?

When I joined Team Liquid, the organization already fielded a formidable veteran roster. Our collective experience enabled rapid meta adaptation, which remains our most valuable strategic asset regardless of game version changes.

This season’s roster adjustments enhanced our flexibility and threat distribution. Every position now carries significant impact potential, creating multidimensional pressure that opponents struggle to contain.

You are continuously called the top NA team and you’re in first place in the LCS. Do you feel this creates more pressure to perform?

There’s certainly increased expectation, but domestic success matters less than international performance. As the last North American team achieving significant international tournament results, we prioritize global competitiveness over regional dominance.

The pressure manifests as motivation to exceed standard performance benchmarks rather than burden.

When you played against the EU teams in Rift Rivals, it seemed like you might struggle at first, but you went on to be the only LCS team to outperform the LEC teams. Do you feel you guys are ready to take on different regions in the World Championship?

North America trails other regions in macro strategy, mechanical execution, and composition innovation. Post-Rift Rivals, we’ve adopted more aggressive approaches, a trend mirrored across LCS organizations. Historically, NA developed slower-paced strategies than even Korean teams, but we’re actively transforming this approach with promising progress.

How did it feel to have a baby in the audience rooting for you to take out the trash?

It’s incredibly rewarding witnessing gaming culture transcend generations. Introducing esports to new audiences ensures competitive League of Legends’ continued growth and evolution.
